Tom’s Palette
Address: 100, Beach Rd #01-25 Shaw Tower S (189702)
Tel: 6296 5239
Cuisine: Ice cream
Website: http://www.tomspalette.com.sg/

Made a special trip down to Shaw Tower to try their ice-cream.
They have some really cool and exotic flavours like, Lavendar & Rose; Chocolate & Stout; Chestnut & Brandy; Pistachio; Summer & Berries, Salted Caramel Cheesecake; Chili Chocolate; White Forest; Melt N Sizzle and etc…

I picked Chocolate & Salted Caramel Cheesecake
The chocolate ice cream is super thick and creamy! I love it.
I saw Chilli Chocolate, quite tempted to try it cos I love chocolate & chili but not when they are mixed together.
They said that it’s hot only at the throat.
And the price is really cheap. 1 scoop for $2.00++, 2 scoops for $3.00++ and 3 for $4.00++
Do give it a try when you are at Bugis.

Making Pink Lemonade by Carolyn Lim
We (the entire department) received this book from our Director, Agnes as Xmas Gift.
Making Pink Lemonade tells a story about this lady, Carolyn Lim who was struck by lightning while windsurfing and how she picked herself up again.
I have yet to read this book, merely browsed through.
And I found a few meaningful quotes that I thought I must share with you all!
” When life hands you lemon, make lemonade. Make pink lemonade.”
“Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better.”

The D&D was held at Suntec City Convention Hall.
Thanks to Mei Chee for giving Becca and I a free ride otherwise I would have to take a train, dressed in that manner. Hahaha! I think it’ll be fun but nahh…better not lar…
The response was good, majority wore uniforms while the rest tried to dress as young as possible; in tees, shorts (ah! our CEO wore white shorts! haha!!), mini skirts (woo!my dept director did that!*whistle*).
Went right to the registration counter to register so that I can take part in the lucky drama and collect my souvenir.
then i spotted my ‘classmate’!
i couldn’t stop laughing when i see Phil in shorts. that’s hilarious!

my colleague in ponytail!it's a rare look. you don't get to see it often. and she is a mother of one.

we even had our very own Schenker Idol. our Sales dept colleague, Alan took part and I must say that he sings like William So.

haha...we even held the customized banner, swung all those lightsticks & blew whistles when he is singing. haha...

this is how we knelt in front the stage in order not to block the guests at the VIP table. i am impressed by our dept, everyone is so spontaneous! it makes the entire thing so fun!!

i just wondered how did she (a mother of one) is still slim after childbirth? this is not fair! haha! i wish i will be like her when i am a mother of many children. hahaha!

with this outfit, she won the best dressed female! $150 cash! i was excited that my whistle flew out of my mouth...haha! that's so embarassing...i hope no one notice that.

special performance by the Sales team ( Vikas, Misuzu & Wendy). again, everyone ran to the stage and started to swing the sticks and blew whistles AGAIN. haha! i am so tired & giddy after blowing the whistle non-stop...my goodness!

at last, something worth raving about...the only food that i think it's nice! mango pomelo with sago and strawberries. i have two bowls. i wanted to go for the 3rd bowl but I was too full. what a waste! other than that, everything sucks including the food and service. they served hot tea cold!
for more photos, check out my fb. i think i didn’t took sufficient photos. =(
i enjoyed myself this time round, was freaking tired after D&D.
thumbs up! thank god that i cancelled the clubbing session with 猪朋狗友. i was totally drained by then!!
i love the awesome theme and everyone dressed to the theme.
i had fun cheering for alan & vikas performance! swinging lightstick and blowing whistle!
i enjoyed snapping photos with my fellow colleagues.
everything rocks!

Went back to Temasek Polytechnic on Friday night for TP X’mas party.
Walking on the overhead bridge, hanging with this particular group of friends in TP’s compound and sitting under the ‘mushroom’ really brought back alot of memories…
How I wish I am a full-time student now…
Anyway, the party was so-so only. It’s just another place with food and music for us to get together.
The only programme that I like about the party is the magician!

He’s awesome; with all the cards, money notes and coins tricks!
Wow! I still remembered how he made the coin disappeared in his hands and appeared in my tightly clenched hands within a second!
It’s amazing to see it happen right in front of you!! Even more stunning to participate in the tricks! Cool!
The party ended with a big surprise when Zhiliang won the 3rd prize. $120 Capitaland vouchers! Even the winner himself also cannot believe that he won something. Haha!

And after the party, we spent 2 hours at Han’s to discuss about our BBQ plan.
I am looking forward to our Xmas BBQ on Sunday!! =)

We grumbled that time flies and it's 4th day already. We don't want to go back to Singapore that soon. We went back to Platinum Mall again. Haha!

We went back to hotel to unload our loots again. We always have bagfuls of loots after shopping at Platinum Mall. Look at the mess and Jane's loots!

We were sort of bored and decided to display our loots nicely on the bed and take a photo of it. It's my loots for myself and family!

While packing, I realised that some clothes Jane bought was nice! So we went back to the mall again! Hahaha! After which, we went to Central World for our lunch. Bought cup corn on our way. Their cupcorn is mixed with sugar and evaporated milk instead butter. It's nice!

Boots! Their 'Watsons'! I love shopping there cos the products are cheap! Loreal, Nivea, Patene, Maybelline etc...

The 'dog poo' & durian cakes from MBK & Nivea,Loreal products from Boots! I forgot to include the Lays' exotic flavours potato chips I bought from Big C supermarket. They have Nori Seawood, Spicy Seafood, Chilli Hot Squid. My family loves them! And I like that Classic, it's less salty than Singapore's Lays'.

Chinatown! Jane said that the people there can speak Chinese so better not talk bad about them there. Haha...

I felt at home seeing all these Chinese signboards. At least no more Thai words that I don't understand.

T & K Seafood. It's packed. I didn't eat the seafood cos I want to keep my stomach for sharks' fin & bird's nest.

Chunks of fins! There's even crab meat inside the soup. Not crabstick hor...it's real shredded crab meat!

I didn't have the opportunity to try Thai durians. Cos I can't finish one whole durian. I will try the next time.

Jane's friend said that Thais prefer hard durians so remember to tell them you want 'nim nim'. It means soft ones. Haha but this word 'nim nim' can only use for fruits. I remember telling the massage lady 'nim nim' and Jane's friend said it cannot be used that way. Haha! But I forgot the right word.

The menu are printed in 3 languages - Thai, English & Chinese. They even served us tea with no extra charge. It's just a roadside stall, you know... I am impressed.
Jane wasn’t feeling very well after the dinner so we went back to the hotel and packed our stuff.
We were grumbling how time flies and we haven’t shopped enough. Urgh!
We woke up very early that day, afraid that we will miss our flight due to traffic jam. Cos Jane ever experienced it before and she had to pay another $200 to buy another ticket back Singapore.
The hotel staffs helped us to call the cab and load our luggages onto the cab. They even gave the sobbing expression. Haha…they are so cute lar!

See it? I went with one small luggage and returned with two additional 大陆 bags! I really hate to leave Bangkok! The people are so friendly and nice; the food there are delicious & I miss shopping at Platinum Mall.

Call us kaisu. We reached airport one and half hour in advance. Well, better than missing our flight. And we went to eat Cream n Fudge again! Lol!

Ta-da! I didn't make my own creation, instead I picked one of the creation from the menu. I think this is Cookie Expresso.
I love BANGKOK!
